Forceful Statements from U.N.
Secretary-General Ban-ki Moon strongly condemned the DPRK's missile test as well as the reported kidnapping of sailors from a Japanese submarine. Additionaly, Moon expressed alarm over troop movements along the Korean peninsula. In light of increasing tensions on the Korean Peninsula, the United Nations will be holding a Security Council meeting plus Japan and the Republic of Korea tomorrow (next session) at U.N. Headquarters in New York City (outside the elevators). This meeting is closed to the public (one representative per country).
