Russia and DPRK - DL Jointly Announced $1.5 Billion Aid Agreement and Russia Status as Negotiator in Japanese Crisis

Russia and DPRK - DL jointly announce that Russia will enter DPRK to negotiate potential resolution to the Japanese crisis involving the citizens of Japan, thus demonstrating Russia's willingness to take leadership in this regional crisis.

At the same time, Russia commits to $1.5 billion of aid to ease DPRK's ongoing food crisis.

"This is a great step in the continuing cooperation between Russia and DPRK," said one Russian official.
