The ROK continues to call on DPRK - DL faction to release all Japanese hostages.
The ROK applauds the removal of the additional DPRK troops from the DMZ and announces a corresponding demobilization of ROK forces along the border.
The ROK also applauds the transfer of HEU from the DPRK to the US for reprocessing as confirmed by the IAEA. As a result, the ROK issues a joint statement with the US recognizing the DPRK - BC faction as the legitimate government of North Korea. The statement also announces commitment of the ROK and US to work towards the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The ROK also announces an agreement with the DPRK to double the number of family visits allowed between the ROK and DPRK.
