Japan Accomplishments

Objectives:
denuclearize dprk-achieved
maintain and strenghten us-japan relatoinship, especially nuclear guarantee--achieved
increase number of us troops in theater--achieved (carrier group moves)
stop dprk kidnappings and return kidnapped japanese citizens (achieved--both the sailors, and the japanese civilians were returned unharmed)

Constraints
could not attack dprk (did not attack)
-could not tolderate prc invasion of dprk (prc never invaded dprk)

Leadership
-First to draw up and maintain advocacy of Cherry Blossom Unity Government Plan, eventually accepted by all parties
-First to use idea of threat of attack (Plan X) on DL nuclear forces to bring about acceptance of compromise when negotiations were stalled at the UN
-Finished with 2.3 billion dollars in account (out of 5 billion)
-Facilitated release of rok hostages from DL
